Stenson only just one bogey in his round and finished with birdies on three of his final five holes to card a 7-under 64. Chase Koepka and Jinichiro Kozuma were the only two other golfers who led during the day. Henrik Stenson and Patrick Reed battled for the lead for much of Friday's first round. On a day where half the LIV Golf Bedminster field finished under par, two past major winners walked off the course sharing the lead.
